Which sunglasses should I choose?
For everyday use in the Netherlands, choose sunglasses with UV400 protection and Category 3 lenses. If you drive a lot or spend a lot of time near the water, choose polarised lenses, such as those on the REX or VALENCE. If you want glasses you’ll forget you’re wearing all day, choose a lightweight frame like the 21-gram AERO.
All eight pairs of Shadeclub sunglasses have Cat. 3 UV400 lenses and cost between €19.95 and €29.95. Choose by occasion (driving, terrace, festival) and by size (compact, medium, large).

Causes
Why cheap glasses disappoint.
The difference is rarely in the design, but in three components you cannot see in a photo.
- The lens. A dark lens without a UV filter allows your pupils to dilate further while UV rays pass straight through. That is why you should always look for UV400.
- The hinges. Weak hinges are the first to fail. That is why we wear each model for weeks before it is added to the register.
- The fit. A frame that pinches or slips will be left unused. Glasses you do not wear do not protect you.

What does UV400 mean for sunglasses?
UV400 means that the lenses block ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nanometers. That covers UVA and UVB. All sunglasses from Shadeclub have UV400.
Can I drive with Cat. 3 sunglasses?
Yes, during the day. Category 3 lenses allow 8 to 18 percent of light to pass through and are suitable for driving in daylight. Not in the dark or in twilight. Category 4 is never suitable for driving.
Which Shadeclub sunglasses are polarized?
The REX and the VALENCE have polarized Cat. 3 lenses. They filter glare from water, wet roads and windshields.
Which sunglasses suit a narrow or wide face?
Choose a frame that is approximately as wide as your face at eye level. Compact: REX and MONARCH. Medium: COLLIN. Large: JOHN.
How much does shipping cost and how long does it take?
Free within the Netherlands from €35, so always free with two pairs of glasses. Below that, €6.50. Ordered before 12:00 on a working day, it is shipped the same day.
Can I return a pair of sunglasses?
Yes, within 14 days of receipt, unworn and in the original packaging. Return shipping is at your own expense.
